¿ What is it ?
A - A string and keyboard musical instrument, belonging to the same family as the virginal and the spinet, similar to a 17th - 18th century piano, but with distinguishing characteristics:
1- Its sound is more metallic.
2- The keys of the keyboard are back to front, white on black rather than black on white.
B - The nightclub which you are now in was founded in 1987, although it is situated in " Rúa Paxariños, 23 in Lugo " since the 31st August, 1995. It has its own characteristics that make it different to other clubs that exist in our precious planet which is being quickly destroyed ( there are still beautiful places ).
All this introduction, prologue, etc... is just to tell you something I want you to know:
It´s a nightclub, in the broodest sense of the term, in which we try to create an alternative to the official culture. It´s a club in which anyone can see a play, a jazz concert, folk music, blues, the performance of songwriters, etc... and every now and then there are also art exhibitions, you can just have a drink, a coffee or whatever you like in a friendly atmosphere. Anyway that´s what we want to offer.
What I mean, is that it´s a place where there is always something going on, it´s not just a drinking trough. The music that we offer is also different to the music heard in other nightclubs and people who come here really appreciate it (no "techno", for example ).
What you possibly may not know is that "Clavi" (Harpsichord) is a club which has members ... I´ll explain: in "Clavi" ( let´s be familiar now ) there are several people who are commited to the program and the quality we offer every month; some months there are many more).
They show it by paying a fixed amount every month and in that way all the activities carried out are free for them as well as getting discounts for all the courses that are programmed.
With all this, I´d like to say that if you like the club, if you like its atmosphere, if you enjoy the type of activities that take place here, become a member of this paradise, this oasis of peace and confort ( it sounds twee, doesn´t it ?, but "nice" ...
If you don´t want to be a member because of your ideology, laziness, intransigence, impotence or any other reason as serious as the ones mentioned, don´t woooooorry. You will be given a very warm welcome, but you´ll have to pay the entrance wherever there is a performance ( concerts, plays, etc...).
